No. All undesignated gifts will be directed to the MUSC Employee Initiatives Fund. This fund is supported solely by MUSC employees. It provides grants to programs and projects throughout MUSC that support education, patient care and research, and receive little or no funding from other sources.

Giving is flexible and you can give a gift any time of year. 

No, they are separate campaigns. Trident United Way raises money for non-profit programs across the Lowcountry, but with the employee giving program, your gifts stay right here, funding only MUSC programs, services, scholarships, and projects.

Payroll deductions begin with the first pay period after you request your donation and are recurring. You can make changes to your deduction or cancel at anytime.

You can access charitable tax documents at any time throughout the year.

  1. Log into OurDay
  2. From the home page, select “My Payslips” under "Quick Tasks".
  3. Locate any of your payslips by date and click "View" or "Print".
  4. Search for the section “Post Tax Deductions”. This will show current pay period and year-to-date (YTD) deductions.

Yes, gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

The MUSC Foundation is the philanthropic arm of MUSC. It is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, to which contributions are tax deductible. The Foundation is governed by a board of directors, and manages funds that support education, patient care and research at MUSC.
