Employee Initiatives Grant Evaluation

Applications to the Employee Initiatives Grant are reviewed by the Employee Initiatives Grant Allocations Committee (EIGAC), which is made up of MUSC employees from across the enterprise. Committee members review each proposal and assign one overall score based on the established criteria and scoring guidelines. Projects are evaluated for mission alignment, impact, feasibility, and funding.

Guidelines

The guidelines for grant voting are as follows:

Mission Alignment

• Does the project align with MUSC's mission of education, research, and patient care?
• Does the project clearly support the selected focus area?

Funding

• Is the amount requested reasonable and appropriate for the proposed project?
• Is the budget clearly defined and aligned with the project’s goals?
• Are there other sources of funding that may be available for this project?

Impact

• Who will benefit from the project?
• What impact will the project have across MUSC and the communities it serves?

Feasibility and Implementation

• Is the project realistic and achievable within the fiscal year?
• Is there a clear plan for implementation and evaluating outcomes?
